The terms σῴζω (sōzō) (“save”) and σώτηρ (sōtēr) (“savior,” “benefactor”) were quite familiar to the Ephesians, and the latter σώτηρ (sōtēr) appeared on an important statue honoring Julius Caesar that was possibly still standing at the time when Ephesians was written.
